The development of any complex business application can be standardized to a high degree. Basically, we always solve the same problems every time we develop new software.
First of all, a connection to a database is required, which in the best case also contains the business logic of an application. Then read and write access to the data is required.
The user interface - data and dialog window - allows users to work with the data. The preparation of the data, also for forwarding in analogue, or better: digital form, is usually carried out using Office automation and/or report generators.
The Pallas Application Management Studio supports both developers and users in all tasks related to the development, execution and distribution of business applications, the Pallas AMS Apps.
Pallas AMS is available in two editions:
Each edition is a separate desktop application and requires Microsoft .NET as a runtime environment.
Both Pallas AMS editions support the .NET versions with even version numbers, starting with .NET 8. For example, Pallas AMS Business 2024 supports .NET 8 and Pallas AMS Developer 2026 will support .NET 10. Pallas AMS Apps are developed for the corresponding .NET versions.
Both editions are installed and licensed on a computer or laptop using a separate installation program. The respective installer creates either a Windows Start menu entry for Pallas AMS Developer or for Pallas AMS Business. Admin rights are required for installation.
To ensure a smooth transition from one .NET version to the next when support ends, identical editions of different .NET versions can be installed on one and the same computer.
